Leslie Ortiz, a devoted science teacher at STEM Middle School, exemplifies the program's success as she prepares to graduate from Grand Canyon University on March 15, 2024.

The VISD BRIDGE Program is a trailblazing initiative addressing the critical shortage of qualified teachers in our district. By offering a unique pathway for paraprofessionals and substitutes within VISD to become certified teachers, this program hinges on the strength of recommendations from campus administrators. Leslie Ortiz, with her unwavering dedication and passion for education, is a shining example of the program's potential.

If you have a graduation gown in good condition from the years 2019-2023 that you no longer need, please consider giving it a new purpose by donating it to our GownShare program. We're thrilled to announce that our VISD website and all campus websites will be undergoing a refreshing makeover over the upcoming spring break! Beginning 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, our team will be hard at work revamping the homepage of all VISD websites to provide a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.

But don't worry! While the design may transform, rest assured that all the valuable information and resources you rely on will remain readily accessible.

VICTORIA ISD SECONDARY SCHOOLS REINFORCE GUIDELINES ON ELECTRONIC DEVICES AHEAD OF SPRING BREAK

As VISD and our campuses prepare for the upcoming Spring Break, Victoria ISD wants to reaffirm our commitment to maintaining a productive learning environment at all of our campuses.

In alignment with this commitment, and to provide ample notice to parents/guardians prior to the return of students from spring break, we will be strictly enforcing the VISD Student Handbook regarding the Possession of Telecommunications or Other Electronic Devices, as outlined in district policy FNCE(Local).

CRAIN ELEMENTARY INVITES FAMILIES OF INCOMING KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS TO A CAMPUS TOUR TO EXPLORE THE DUAL LANGUAGE PROGRAM

Beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, Crain Elementary School will be the site of VISD’s groundbreaking Dual Language Program. We are pleased to announce an upcoming campus tour for families who are interested in registering their incoming kindergarten students.

The campus tour will take place on March 25, beginning at 1:30 P.M. Interested families are encouraged to RSVP by Friday, March 22 by contacting Melissa Perez at 361-573-7453 or crain.office@visd.net.
